HOLLINS GREEN
BOUNDARY SIGNS
The Clerk showed Councillors the design and costing received from
Cheshire East. After discussion it was agreed that while the sign part of the
design was agreeable, the mounting in a “gateway/fence” was too large for the
verge at the locations where the signs were required. The cost of £2000 per
sign (to supply & install) was also much too high for the council to agree
to. Cllr. Gnyp highlighted that when two boundary signs were purchased in 2016
the total cost was approximately £800. It was agreed that the Clerk should ask
for alternative costings for a) this design to be installed on metal poles and
b) for a standard rectangular shaped sign without graphics on metal poles.
