MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF

BRADWALL PARISH COUNCIL

MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC:    None

 

NOTE – COVID19        Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic there were no meetings in November 2020 or January 2021. Emergency legislation removed the requirement for an AGM and Parish Meeting during the year and therefore the current Chairman and Vice-Chairman will continue in post until May 2021.

2.      DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST REGARDING AGENDA ITEMS

None

 

3.      TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING

The minutes of the last meeting held on 23rd September 2020 were approved and signed as a correct record.

 

4.      MATTERS ARISING FROM THE LAST MEETING

a)      Dog Waste Bin

It was reported that the additional bin had been erected on Wood Lane thanks to Cllr Williams for doing this.

b)     Highways

The Clerk gave an update on the current issues, particularly the situation on Walnut Tree Lane. Cllr Gnyp asked Cllr Wray for his comments on the current situation and lack of action from Cheshire East Highways. Cllr Wray voiced his frustration on the budgetary constraints which meant that rural locations were being neglected. It was agreed that a letter should be sent to Cllr Laura Crane who is the current Cheshire East portfolio holder with responsibility for Highways.

 

5.      FINANCE (Clerk)

a)      The balance sheet dated 24th March 2021 was received.

b)      The following payments was approved and cheques signed:

G. Gnyp £68.33 for website expenses; F. Stops - £199.20 Dog waste bin; F. Stops - £468.00 Clerk’s salary April- September 2020.

c)      Community Benefit Fund – the Clerk highlighted the balance and suggested that parishioners be consulted on possible grants. Cllr Smedley proposed a footpath to avoid the bad bends at The Smithy. It was agreed that the Clerk should make some preliminary enquiries on the feasibility of such a project.

 

6.      PLANNING MATTERS

a)      New Applications.

20/4763C Hollins Green Farm – Farmworkers dwelling. Details were emailed to members during lockdown, no comments or objections submitted. Currently no decision by Cheshire East.

20/5486C The Stables, Fousley Farm – Single storey kitchen extension. Refused 28/01/21

21/0266C Willow Lodge, Walnut Tree Lane – Single storey rear extension, linked corridor and new driveway entrance. No decision.

21/1136C Land at former Albion Chemical Works, Booth Lane – Non material amendments to permission 09/2083C. Change of house type and diversion of footpaths.

 

 

7.      CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED (Clerk)

Any relevant emails have been forwarded.

 

8.      WEBSITE

Cllr Gnyp presented a short report on a meeting attended, along with Katrina Gnyp who maintains our website, on website accessibility. In summary the current website performs very well with just a few changes required to meet current accessibility legislation. It was resolved to receive the recommendations of the report and implement the necessary modifications. Proposed by Cllr G. Gnyp and seconded Cllr R. Smedley, agreed unanimously.

Wednesday 19th May 2021, 8pm. May be subject to change due to Covid-19 restrictions or regulations.

 

The Chairman thanked Councillor Mike Acton for setting up the Zoom meeting.
